Easily make delicious sponge cakes with a firm and airy texture with this FunCakes preparation. Ideal as a base for any chocolate cake (the Black Forest, for example).
Preparation: First make sure that all the ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven: 160°C). Mix the mix, eggs and water with a mixer at maximum speed for 7-8 minutes, then at minimum speed for another 2-3 minutes. Fill a buttered mold (half or two-thirds full) and bake the cake in the preheated oven. Do not open the oven during cooking! The sponge cake is ready when it is soft to the touch. Unmold the sponge cake as soon as it comes out of the oven and place it on a wire rack so that the steam can evaporate.
